Celebrating “150 Years of Canadian Christmases”

Yarmouth’s Christmas Parade of Lights is less than a week away.

It takes place on Saturday November 25, beginning at 6pm at the corner of Argyle and Main Streets.

This year’s theme is ‘ “Celebrating 150 Years of Canadian Christmases”.

Parade coordinator Barb Firth says they’ve added something different to this year’s event.

There will be a “nice” list and a “naughty” list on Santa’s float.

“We have picked about 20 names of people you will recognize from Yarmouth and surrounding areas – some of them are going to be on the nice list, some of them will be on the naughty list,” she says.

“All of them do not know which list they’re going to be on until the parade goes by.”

Awards in five categories will be presented at the end of the parade at Coronation Park.
