India is coming to the South Shore.
The fifth annual Diwali celebration is being held at the Michelin Social Club tomorrow night.
Vice-President of the South Shore Multicultural Association Amrita Hazra says the event is for all religions.
“Be it Hindu, Sikh or Christians, this festival is more about celebrating the victory of light over darkness,” she said.
“Which actually signifies celebrating goodness over evil.”
The Event is partnered with Y Reach, who work with immigrants, temporary foreign workers and their families who are new to the area.
The celebration starts at 6:30.
Festivities include a potluck, dancing and music.
