Ten families in need will get Christmas dinner following a thoughtful gesture by a Lunenburg County business.
Charlie’s Pizza and Convenience posted a message on their Facebook Page announcing their decision to use tips to supply local families with a turkey, potatoes, and mixed vegetables for a holiday supper.
Alex and Hala Jebailey operate the company.
Alex says they aren’t doing this for attention but to help people in need.
“It’s just kind of a way to support a few families, a few people are having a rough time putting food on their table.There is a lot of people who have lost their job and aren’t working this winter.”
The families have been chosen and are from Liverpool, Bridgewater, Mahone Bay and New Germany.
Alex says he expects to have the food ready for families as early as today.
