Chemical Spill Closes Section Of Highway 103 For Six Hours

A spill of sulphuric acid caused a lengthy closure to a section of Highway 103 last night.

It happened after 4 near Exit 31 at Pubnico.

A transport truck was carrying several barrels when the driver stopped after noticing one was leaking.

A Hazmat team was brought in to clean up the spill.

No one was injured.

Highway 103 was closed for over six hours between Exits 30 and 32.

Traffic was diverted to Highway 3 during the incident.
