A Chester home was destroyed in a fire in the early hours of the morning.
At around 12:25 am, firefighters and Lunenburg County District RCMP were dispatched to the scene on Victoria Street.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke, communications for the RCMP, says the three occupants of the home escaped unhurt before the house became full engulfed.
A neighbouring home was also evacuated due to the intensity of the fire and fear it would spread.
Chester Basin, Western Shore, Martins River, and Blandford volunteer fire departments were all called to the scene.

RCMP and officials from the Office of the Fire Marshal remain on the scene.
Clarke says they have yet to determine the cause of the blaze or if the fire was suspicious.
