There could be new life for the Annex Building in Chester.
The municipality voted to close the building after deciding to move two of its departments to the former school in Gold River.
However, a group has stepped forward with a proposal.
Joy Calkin and Nancy Hatch want to retain the space for the Lighthouse Food Bank.
Another person, Nancy Green, is interested in a section of the building for affordable housing.
They feel it would save the municipality the cost of demolishing the building and paying to help relocate the food bank.
The municipality is looking for more information before making a decision.
