Have you ever spent Christmas in another country? Perhaps somewhere down South where you can go to the beach on Christmas?
I came close one year – spent the weeks leading up to Christmas in Barbados but made it back with a couple of days to spare before the big day.
To be honest, I really enjoyed it. The islanders were totally into the whole Christmas spirit and I really loved the reggae Christmas songs on the local radio station.
I know that this year, because of the pandemic, many of us will miss celebrating Christmas with family.
But it got me wondering how this will affect us down the road.
Once the pandemic is over will we get the travel bug and be willing to spend Christmas in other cultures and climates?
Or will we want to stay close to home with friends and family?
