A Lunenburg County man with prior convictions related to child porn will remain in police custody.
Twenty-nine year old Alexander Ernst was arrested late last week after police searched a home in Maitland.
Police believe he was using social media to message young girls.
Ernst made his first court appearance today, in relation to two charges of Internet luring.
Crown attorney Peter Dostal says more charges could be on the way.
“Devices were seized from Mr. Ernst and the residence and they will be examined to determined if there will be any more luring charges in relation to other people in the community or elsewhere and that normally takes a bit of time,”
Police say Ernst attempted to message at least six young girls in the Bridgewater area.
He’ll be back in court later this month.
