I caught the announcement earlier this week that in Alberta, you can go get tested for Covid at your local drugstore, even if you don’t have any of the symptoms!
Why would you want to do this? I’m guessing it would be for peace of mind before heading to the cottage or visiting grandparents where someone who has pre-existing conditions might be present.
I think it’s a great idea as long as you can get results back in a timely fashion.
However, I can see the drawbacks as well. People might become over confident and start ignoring basic rules like social distancing. (I’m thinking partying)
If you had no symptoms, would you get tested at your local drugstore just for peace of mind? Or does the thought of that super Q-tip going in turn you off?
