With impending legalization, the Department of National Defence has released their rules surrounding recreational cannabis use.

The document was released Friday.

It indicates members will not be allowed to consume cannabis up to eight hours before any type of duty.

But members also are not allowed to consume for up to 24 hours before operating a vehicle or a loaded weapon.

They’re also banned from consuming pot up to 28 days before joining the crew of a submarine or an aircraft.
