The department of natural resources has issued a ban on campfires at all provincial parks and private campgrounds this weekend.
It is due to the high risk of wildfires.

Minister Lloyd Hines says fires in Fort McMurray and the recent fire in Bayers Lake show the need for an even greater level of caution.
The campfire ban is in effect from 2 p.m. today until 2 p.m Monday.
