RCMP are encouraging the public to report impaired drivers following a pair of arrests earlier this month.
On February 1 Lunenburg District RCMP members responded to a single-vehicle collision in East LaHave around 10 pm.
The investigation led police to believe that the 17-year-old male driver was impaired by drugs.
The driver failed to comply with the demand for a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) evaluation.
He will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court February 28 to face impaired and refusal charges.
The following day, a 53-year-old woman was also arrested for impaired driving.
A DRE completed an evaluation and as a result, Elaine Delores Sarty of Bridgewater was charged with Impaired Driving.
Motorists are reminded that if they suspect a driver is operating a vehicle under the influence, they should call 9-1-1.
