ElderDog Plans Butterfly Release in Feltzen South

Elderdog Canada will hold its fifth annual release of butterflies this weekend.

Founder Ardra Cole says while the event is about remembering dogs who have passed on, it also focuses on the monarch butterfly.

“It’s part of our commitment to try to support the growth and regeneration of monarch butterflies in our province.”

The charity helps seniors live healthy lives by pairing them up with canines.

Cole says they will release 100 butterflies in a moving ceremony.

Participants can purchase a butterfly to release for $15 and supports Elderdog Canada.

Those who are interested in the event can find it starting at 2pm, Saturday at 907 Feltzen South Road.
