It’s about giving back and doing something positive together.
Nova Scotia paramedics, Bridgewater Police and Lunenburg county RCMP are teaming up for the 7th annual Great Haul-A-Day Food Drive.
It goes today from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Bridgewater Atlantic Superstore.
Spokesperson Nicole Monaghan says community support is key to the event’s success.
“Last year, we raised 7,800 pounds of food and $1,200 in monetary donations thanks to the generous support of our community and business members.”
The goal is to fill a 14-foot trailer full of items including canned goods, toilet paper, and baking ingredients.
Proceeds go to the Bridgewater Inter-church food bank.
