The emergency department at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg will be closed for a period of time over the weekend. Officials at the hospital say the closure will take place on Sunday evening beginning at 5 o’clock until Monday morning at 7:30AM. The closure is due to the unavailability of staff. All those requiring emergency care are being directed to the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.
