Fatal Gold River Crash Involved Three Vehicles

The RCMP are continuing to look for the cause behind a fatal multi-vehicle crash that took place in Gold River on Tuesday.

According to a release issued by RCMP the collision involved three vehicles and four people, one of whom was declared dead at the scene.

Emergency crews were first dispatched to the scene at 2:00 p.m.

Upon their arrival, they saw three vehicles that had sustained damage and at this time they believe at least two of the vehicles collided head-on.

The collision involved an SUV, a car, and a truck. The driver of the SUV, a 68-year-old woman from Marriotts Cove, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the truck was transported to hospital for treatment as a precaution, and the occupants of the car were uninjured.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Lunenburg RCMP.
