Feed Nova Scotia is partnering with grocery stores in the South Shore.
They’re aiming to increase donations to local food banks.
Karen Theriault is from Feed Nova Scotia.
She says even a small donation can go a long way.
Theriault says, “Every two dollars that we receive allows us to distribute three meals worth of donated food.”
Three thousand people used food banks in the region last year.
A thousand of those were children under 18.
Donations can be made at any of these locations:
Bridgewater Atlantic Superstore
Bridgewater Sam’s No Frills
Lunenburg Your Independent Grocer
Liverpool Atlantic Superstore
