Four people were injured in an accident in Mader’s Cove last night.
According to Lunenburg District RCMP, a vehicle carrying four people left the road around 10 p.m.
The vehicle went into a ditch and struck several trees, before ending up on Highway 3.
One passenger was taken to the QE II with life-threatening injuries, another with moderate injuries was transported to South Shore Regional Hospital.
The driver and another passenger suffered minor injuries.
Police say a quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle and as a result the driver was given a Field Sobriety Test, which they passed.
No charges are anticipated at this time.
The highway was closed for several hours while a traffic analyst attended the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
