A church in Lunenburg County is preparing to host teenagers from across the Maritimes.
Bridgewater Baptist has announced they’ll be hosting a youth event called Tidal Impact next summer.
Youth Pastor, Kristen Price, says they expect around 500 kids to turn up.
“It teaches them about serving,” she says. “Going out into your community and doing a selfless act for others, and not really getting anything in return.”
The youth will be participating in local projects.
“Painting people’s houses,” says Price, “cleaning garbage around the area, helping with the food bank, helping with different organizations. It could be anything.”
The gathering is held every other year with Bridgewater hosting in July 2017.
