Nova Scotia’s Opposition Leader says the new Yarmouth to Maine ferry service is helping with the revival of SouthWest Nova Scotia’s economy. After sputtering the first couple of months, NovaStar Cruises is reporting a large jump in traffic this month. Jamie Baillie says he doesn’t like all the provincial money thats been pumped into getting the service rolling but he says it might eventually payoff. He tells us: “A lot of money has gone into it and we’re very mindful of that and we are watching how much money the Liberals spend on it. But for now, we just want to be fair and give it a chance.” NovaStar Cruises has already used up the 21 million dollars committed by the province to the service.
