A group in Lunenburg county is thinking beyond this year’s municipal election.
Vickie Gray is part of a team trying to inspire the next generation of community leaders.
She says it’s something we need to start thinking about now.
“As those existing people in positions of influence begin to retire,” she says, “we’re going to need to have new people come into those positions.”
Gray says the process will begin with small home groups meeting with current leaders.
She says the speakers can be anyone from entrepreneurs to politicians.
MP Bernadette Jordan has already agreed to chat with a group of 8-10 women in the next few weeks
