Habitat For Humanity Requests Land From Bridgewater

Another build is in the works for Habitat for Humanity – South Shore chapter.

The group has put in a request to Bridgewater to donate a parcel of land for their fifth home in Lunenburg and Queens counties.

Homes have been built in Bridgewater, Mahone Bay and Liverpool.

Mayor David Walker says he’s aware of two spaces each on Nafthal Drive and LaHave Street.

“You want to make sure those lots are still as we envision them. Staff may come up with other lots as well. Those are the only four that I am aware of that are approved building lots in the town of Bridgewater.”

The group is hoping to begin building the home next spring.

Walker says he would like a decision made before the end of the year.
