Prime Minister Justin Trudeau received a rock star welcome in Halifax over the weekend.
The Halifax Seaport Farmers Market was busier than usual on Saturday as hundreds of people gathered to welcome the prime minister to metro.
Trudeau was making his first trip to Halifax since winning a majority in last October’s federal election. He was greeted with cheers and fiddle music and spent roughly 45 minutes mingling with supporters.

Trudeau was in Halifax – in part – to speak at the Nova Scotia Liberal Party AGM, where he made an address to a packed room at the Westin Hotel.
