Halifax Regional Police have released photos and descriptions of the suspects in an on-going investigation into counterfeit US money. Police say there have been at least 25 reported cases in the past eight days where someone paid for a purchase with fake US $50 bills. They say one suspect is a white man in his 20s, with short brown hair and a sleeve tattoo on his right arm. He used the counterfeit bills at the Halifax Shopping Centre on two occasions, and was spotted leaving the mall in a white Mercedes SUV. The other two suspects are black women in their 20s. They used the bills at Sobeys on Queen Street in Halifax Saturday night. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
