Nova Scotia Power says they had 40 separate outages over the weekend in Bridgewater and Liverpool.
During the height of the storm, roughly 3,500 people on the South Shore were without power.
Spokesperson David Rodenhiser says it was a tough day for line crews.
“Our guys work in some pretty extreme conditions and we’re really pleased with their performance yesterday. They are very committed to make sure people get their power back and they don’t stop until the job is done.”
He says icy driving conditions and access outage areas were the biggest challenges for power crews.
Most residents in Liverpool had their lights back on late last night.
