Health Hits A Hole In One

People on the South Shore chipped in for a good cause yesterday.

The Health Services Foundation of the South Shore held their 18th annual Hit it for Health Golf Tournament at Osprey Ridge Golf Club.

Over 100 people showed up to golf, enjoy the sunshine and win some great prizes.

The event raised over $20,000 to benefit Health Services Foundation of the South Shore.

But it wasn’t just about the money for Development Officer Tina Hennigar.

“If we can just spark some interest within those people in the room to just ask them to get involved in other campaigns then that’s just as valuable as the money actually.”

Hennigar says the event was successful in many ways.

“We were so pleased with the amount that we raised and that we were able to purchase a much-needed piece of equipment.”

Funds raised this year will go towards a new portable ventilator for the South Shore Regional Hospital.
