Healthy lungs for the Holidays

The third annual Nova Scotia Lung Association Cold Turkey Challenge is back.

Spokesperson for the Nova Scotia Lung Association Michelle Donaldson says the province has the highest provincial smoking rate in Canada and they found a fun way to help you quit.

“We wanted to encourage peple to quit told turkey, and we thought it would be a fun way tto do it by offering them a turkey as a reward for quitting,” she said.

The challenge lasts for 30 days and 500 residents are invited to participate.

Last year 113 people completed the challenge successfully.
