Heat warning in effect for mainland N.S.

All of Mainland Nova Scotia is under a heat warning.

It’s going to be hot heading into the weekend, with daytime high temperatures feeling like 36 through Saturday.

Environment Canada says there are ways to beat the heat.

Avoid long stretches of outside activity, and try to get things done during cooler parts of the day.

And never leave people or pets in a parked vehicle.
