Home Fries and Homemade Mac’N’Cheese For The Win!

I’m not sure if companies change successful products to make more money or to garner more sales but in my eyes they have failed miserably in a few cases.

Other than breakfast, I rarely visit fast food franchises for lunch or supper these days because they all changed their fries. They’ve all gone to what I call “coated” fries. I’d rather make my own home fries naturally without coatings and that’s what I’ve been doing for years.

Kraft Dinner changed something in their ingredients and it’s caused me to swear off the stuff. It tastes like chemicals. We now make our own mac and cheese at home in a casserole dish from the basic ingredients.

I’ve always bought Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup for cooking but would occasionally have a bowl of the soup on a cold fall day. No more. It’s not the same – the texture is all wrong.

Cereals – They don’t taste the same as I remember them. Rice Krispies taste overdone, while all the sugar cereals must have drastically reduced the sugar because they don’t taste the same as they did when I was a kid.

Treats – When did Reese’s Pieces start shrinking? When did all the chocolate bars get smaller? What have they done to Wagon Wheels? Why does most chocolate taste like they added wax as filler?
