Hope for Wildlife wins $50K through KENT contest

A Nova Scotia organization that rehabilitates injured or orphaned wildlife says they are so grateful for winning a huge prize through KENT Building Supplies.

Hope for Wildlife is taking home $50,000 through the KENT Golden Giveaway Community Vote contest as part of the company’s 50th anniversary.

They recieved the highest amount of community votes from across Atlantic Canada.

“We are humbled to be in the company of all the other amazing charities that took part, and we deeply appreciate the support of our entire community,” says Hope for Wildlife in a post on social media.

The other charities were:

• Bobby’s Hospice – NB
• Feed Nova Scotia – NS
• Hope for Wildlife – NS
• IWK Foundation – NS
• PEI Humane Society – PEI
• Salvation Army Atlantic Region
• Souls Harbour Rescue Mission – NS
• SPCA Newfoundland & Labrador – NL
• Nova Scotia SPCA – NS
• The Gathering Place – St. John’s, NL

They will all receive $1,000.
