A vaccination program will be rolled out next week to protect students from a serious disease at a Nova Scotia university.
Two students at Acadia University in Wolfville, N.S. have confirmed cases of meningitis.
The first student died earlier this month.
It’s been revealed both students have the same strain of the virus.
Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Robert Strang says that constitutes an institutional outbreak.
The immunization program begins Wednesday.
Strang says the risk of meningitis spreading to other communities is low.
