The trial of Candice Moore has been handed over to the jury.
They will have to decide if the death of her nine-year-old- daughter was a tragic accident or something that could have been avoided.
Prosecutor Michelle MacDonald says she believes in the system, regardless of the outcome.
“You know it’s an emotional trial,” she says, “You try not to be emotional about it, but you have to trust the jury. You have to trust that they’re going to do what their role is.”
The 12 person panel has been sequestered until they come to a decision.
A verdict could come back by the end of the day.
