RCMP handed out 30 tickets for speeding this week to drivers on Highway 331.
Police received tips suggesting motorists were travelling well over the speed limit in the LaHave area, which fluctuates between 50 and 80 km/h.
Sgt. Mark MacPherson says road safety is one of the RCMP’s top priorities.
“We’re going to be closely monitoring all portions of the roadway and targeting specific areas where we get complaints because everyone’s safety depends on it.”
Three other tickets were handed out to drivers not wearing seatbelts.
The cost of the fines can range from $175 to $370.
