LCLC Ready To Put The Chill On Summer

As families work to squeeze the last few weeks out of summer, some are already looking ahead to fall.

The Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre has just reinstalled their ice.

The pad is laid and new sponsors are on board.

LCLC General Manager Kevin Benjamin says it’s an exciting time.

“Summer’s over, ice is ready to go. This is the time of year that we get ready to go for the upcoming season and all of our clients are chomping at the bit to get going.”

The skating clubs are gearing up and camps are being held for the Lumber Jacks, the South Shore Mustangs and South Shore Minor Hockey Association.

Benjamin says people will notice some new sponsors on the surface.

“The junior A club, part of their fundraising campaign – they’re able to generate some sponsorship within the arena so they were able to be successful in selling those spots.”

Benjamin says they’re excited for the range of events coming up this year, including some Atlantic University Sports hockey and the Canadian midget women’s Esso Cup in April.
