The Liverpool Privateers have taken Game 1 of their second round playoff series with East Hants.
Joe Bouchard had two goals including the game winner.
East Hants opened the scoring only a few minutes after the opening face off but the Privateers stormed back with three first period goals to open up a 3-1 lead.
The Penguins made it 4-3 at the midway mark of the third to make for some tense moments but Bouchard secured the victory with an empty net goal.
Queens Place Emera Centre was at its allowed occupancy for the game with 200 fans in the stands, while many other took advantage of the live stream the team provided on its Facebook page.
Liverpool leads the Best-of-Seven series 1-0 with Game 2 set for Thursday night in Truro.
