Local Companies Win Big At Tourism Awards

The Crystal Tourism Awards of Excellence were recently handed out and the South Shore was well represented.

White Point Beach Resort’s Robert Risley and RCR Hospitality won the Culinary Tourism Excellence Award for connecting people to local flavours through food and beverage offerings.

Amos Pewter of Mahone Bay won Tourism Business of the year for efforts in outstanding service, dedication and commitment to the Industry.

And the Ambassador Award was presented to “The Curse of Oak Island” production for activities that have made a major impact on Tourism and Culture in Nova Scotia.

The Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia distributes the awards every year to celebrate the accomplishments of Nova Scotia’s tourism industry.
