Seven returning players are back with the South Shore Junior ‘A’ Lumberjacks.
The team announced their 23-player final roster on Monday.
It includes 12 players from Nova Scotia including three locals; Alex Mann of Lunenburg, Matt Sabean of Bridgewater and Tristan d’Entremont of Pubnico.
There are two new faces stopping pucks this season for the Lumberjacks.
They are MacKenzie Janes of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Justin Ritcey of Halifax.
The general manager for the Lumberjacks says this year’s team has a balance of size, grit, speed, skill and smarts.
Brad Muise says the team also has a good mix of youth and experience and will be tough to play against.
The ‘Jacks open the regular season on Friday night in Bridgewater against the Valley Wildcats.
