The head coach of the South Shore Junior ‘A’ Lumberjacks expects a tough, hard-fought series with the Amherst Ramblers.
The two teams are meeting in the first round of the Maritime Hockey League playoffs for the second straight season.
Kyle McAllister says the Ramblers have been one of the hottest teams in the league in the second half of the season but he’s not fazed.
“I like our team and I like the way we play against them,” says McAllister.
“I think we’re in a situation where if we play our game, I feel we can play with anybody.”
The two teams met seven times this year, with the Ramblers winning five games.
The Lumberjacks have on and off-ice preparations this week before the series opens Friday in Amherst.

Game 6 – Monday March 25th @ South Shore 7PM (if necessary)
Game 7 – Wednesday March 27th @ Amherst 7PM (if necessary)
