Stephen Sisco scored the overtime winner as the South Shore Lumberjacks cut down the Valley Wildcats 7-6 last night in Bridgewater.
The Lumberjacks got off to an impressive start to the game, leading 4-1 after the opening 20 minutes thanks to goals from Alex Rawding, Sisco, Lawrence Lyver and Colton Marchand.
However, Valley rallied with three goals early in the second period to tie it before Nick Fitzgerald found the back of the net midway through the frame to restore the Lumberjacks lead.
A goal by Brett Tidman at 1:02 of the third period quickly notched the game at five.
Lyver scored his second goal of the game at 10:09 but it was short lived as Valley tied it at six only 16 seconds later.
The Lumberjacks will visit Pictou next Thursday.
