Lunenburg author and co-owner of Lexicon Books, Jo Treggiari, is gearing up for a big night on Saturday.
The Young Adult (YA) author will be holding the official launch of her new novel “Blood Will Out”, a thrilling ride into the world of a serial killer, a literary road Treggiari has not gone down before.
“Books are a sort of great way to go to the darkness without danger,” says Treggiari in an interview with Acadia Broadcasting. “There’s a thrill too, to be scared and even scaring yourself.”
“Blood Will Out” is in fact Treggiari’s 4th novel, one that she spent time researching prior to putting pen to paper, so to speak. She spent time researching actual serial killers like Ted Bundy, Ed Gein and Jeffrey Dahmer to name a few; research she says was very disturbing.
“It’s dark, but there’s always humour and hope and lightness to it, so I don’t just plunge you (the reader) into some horrible scenario and not rescue you,” says Treggiari.
The official launch of Treggiari’s latest book – “Blood Will Out” – takes place on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at Lexicon Books (125 Montague Street, Lunenburg, NS) starting at 7pm.
