Lunenburg County: United Way Invests Over $180,000 This Year

Another successful year for the United Way of Lunenburg County. The not-for-profit group raised $180,540 for 32 organizations and programs this year including P.R.O Kids, the YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Harbour House, Habitat For Humanity and the Bridgewater Interchurch Food Bank. Coordinator Michael Graves says the investments are good for business and help strengthen communities. The group was organized in 2003. Since then, it has invested more than one million dollars to youth, families, seniors and communities in Lunenburg County.
