Ten years of skit and song about Lunenburg’s history is about to come to an end.
This is the final year of the show, Glimpses, which begins tonight and will be performed 20 times throughout the summer including a Finale Gala on September 9.
One of the people involved, Dave Brumwell, says it’s an entertaining and fun history lesson for all.
“We try to highlight some of the real important things that have happened, but also the quirky, the funny and the unusual and we found a complete wealth of things to talk about.”
Another person involved, Hank Middleton, says they like to take people on a rollercoaster ride with original music and skits.
Cast member Jon Allan says he’s loved hearing comments about how much people learn about the local area from their performances.
“It is sounds and music and everything else and visual and they really remember, it’s impressioned on their brains. For that, it’s been very satisfying for us to be able to produce that.”
The show is held every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7:30 at the Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg.
Doors open at 6:30 and people are encouraged to show up early to get a seat.
