There will be a planned power outage this weekend for residents connected to the Town of Lunenburg’s electrical grid.
It will take place between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday.
The reason is because Nova Scotia Power will be performing substation maintenance. It’s the second time crews will try to do the maintenance on the substation after the work was postponed last weekend.
Below is information on times and impacted areas.
1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m
All customers of the New Town, Mason’s Beach, First Peninsula and Bridgewater Road circuits.
Affected areas: All areas west of the Lincoln Street/Starr Street intersection, including Victoria Road, Mason’s Beach Road, Tannery Road as well as the subdivisions of James Road, Centennial Avenue, Green Street to Dufferin Street/Maple Avenue and First Peninsula, Upper First Peninsula, Kissing Bridge Road.
4:45 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Customers of the Old Town and Industrial circuits.
Affected areas: All areas east of the Lincoln Street/Starr Street intersection, which includes all of Old Town, Garden Lots and Blue Rocks.
