Mariners Square Division Final Against Lumberjacks

The Yarmouth Mariners tied the Eastlink South Division Final at a game a piece after a 6-4 win Monday night over the South Shore Lumberjacks.

The ‘Jacks held a 3-2 lead mid-way through the second period before the Mariners scored three straight to take the lead for good.

Riley Gill, Joe Bouchard, Cody Grant and Christian Tsukamoto scored for the Lumberjacks and Ty Grant stopped 30 shots.

Head Coach and General Manager, Kyle McAllister, says his team laid back too much with the lead.

“We just have to get our heads right,” says McAllister.

“Not get too high and don’t get too low, we expect it to be a long series. It’s 1-1 and we go back to Yarmouth. The guys got to come ready to play and they have to be ready to compete.”

The series shifts to Yarmouth Wednesday night for game three.
