MODL Announces Plan To Attract Local Business

The Municipality of Lunenburg has a new three year plan to bring more business to the area.

They’re working on a campaign to bring entrepreneurs from bigger cities across the country to start a life and a business in Lunenburg County.

Economic Development Officer Dave Waters says they’re selling the ‘South Shore lifestyle’.

“We’ve got a tremendous amount to offer in the District of Lunenburg,” he says. “One of the things that we want to do is raise that awareness so that people out side of the area recognize what a wonderful place it is.”

The municipality has committed $50,000 in the budget to get the project off the ground.

Waters says the focus right now is on preliminary work with the first initiative planned for next spring.
