The soggy weather conditions will continue today on the South Shore.
More than 40 millimetres of rain has already fallen in some areas.
Environment Canada is forecasting another 40 millimetres today.
The rain started on Saturday and will remain until this evening, with heavy downpours expected through the day.
The wind will gust up to 80 kilometres an hour.
The weather agency is also forecasting temperatures to drop tonight below freezing.
It could make for tricky driving conditions on Tuesday morning.
