The Christmas shopping season is upon us but it looks as though many Canadians are more inclined to shop at home this year. A new survey by the online shopping traffic cop .. Retail Me Not-dot-com .. indicates close to 90 percent of Canadians will purchase gifts at Canadian retailers. Even though Black Friday (November 28th) and Cyber Monday (December 1st) have gained popularity here in Canada, Kristen Nelson of “Retail-Me-Not” says Canadians are still hessitant to shop on-line. She says: “Even though there is more awareness that you can save a lot of money if you start your holiday shopping earlier in November around these days, only 29 percent of Canadians intend to shop on line during Cyber Monday.” Nelson says on-line companies need to better educate their customers on the benefits of shopping on the net.
