While a civic addressing system has been in place for a number of years, the Municipality of Barrington wants to make sure its residents get emergency services in a timely manner.
Council has passed a Civic Address By-law.
CAO Rob Frost says the council felt there was a need for an enforceable policy.
“It tells residents how they need to post their number and guidelines on how to do that.”
Frost also says the by-law outlines requirements for posting private road names.
