This morning we start with the guy that hates an encore. Jason Aldean says that is one concert tradition he has no interest in playing along with. In fact, he thinks the whole routine is “stupid”. He says instead of pretending the concert is over and waiting for the crowd to call him back, he recently told a Minnesota crowd: “The way I like to do it, I’m just gonna play you guys everything we got and when the show’s over, it’s just over.”
Luke Bryan and Luke Combs have a new duet called ‘Finders Keepers’. You will find it on Bryan’s upcoming album “Signs”, coming out Sept. 18. When asked if we could someday see Luke Bryan and Luke Combs performing the song together onstage, he said they’ll “pick the right moment” and have a “great moment on stage.” One writer thinks it could happen at the CMA awards in November.
In his video for Jelly Roll’s latest single ‘Hands Up’, the live performance clip takes place at California’s oldest prison, San Quentin. This is the same place Johnny Cash performed in 1958. At that time future country star Merle Haggard was an inmate at the institution.
