The former leader of the Nova Scotia NDP will make an announcement on her future as an MLA today in Halifax.
Maureen MacDonald will speak at 9:30 at Province House.
She was first elected as MLA for Halifax-Needham in 1998 and has represented the riding in the Legislature since that time.
MacDonald has held many portfolios including minister of health and wellness and minister of finance.
